Why We Give
This is deeply personal for me.
When I had my daughter Florence, we’d just moved to Papamoa. We were looking for a new home, and while we waiting we were living in a run-down shed with no insulation, a leaky roof, no hot water, no walls, and an old, breezy garage door as our “front door.” My husband was away for work a lot, I had a newborn and a two-year-old, and I was at breaking point.
Plunket connected me to Bellyful, and one day I opened the door to find lasagnas, fresh baking, spaghetti, and meals made with love. Those meals carried me through one of the hardest times of my life.
Now, through MarketHer, I get to pay that forward.
About Bellyful
Bellyful is a volunteer-led charity nourishing families and connecting communities by delivering free meals to families with babies and young children who are without a support network.
How the Fund Works
1. Our Anchor Partner: Bellyful
We give 1% of all MarketHer revenue to Bellyful every month - ensuring mums across New Zealand receive nourishing meals and support when they need it most.
2. Quarterly Spotlight Charities
Each quarter, The MarketHer Pledge Fund also shines a light on another incredible cause that uplifts women - from supporting female entrepreneurs to empowering young leaders. Sometimes our members even get to help choose who we support next.
3. Impact Boosts
On special occasions - like my birthday, MarketHer anniversaries, or launches - we run giving campaigns where a larger portion of profits goes directly to the featured charity.
