Quick clarity exercise

Use this to get clear on what you sell, who it’s for, why they need it, and what makes it worth choosing. Keep it simple — this is a starting point, not a full strategy build.

Before you start: Don’t overthink this. Write the messy version first. Clarity usually shows up after you stop trying to sound clever.

1. What do you actually sell?

Name the offer clearly. Not the fancy version — the version a real person would understand.

2. Who is it for?

Be specific enough that the right person feels seen.

3. What problem are they trying to solve?

What are they frustrated by, confused about, or trying to make easier?

4. What does this help them do?

Focus on the practical outcome, not just the features.

5. Why should they choose this?

This could be your process, experience, perspective, speed, quality, personality, support, proof or simplicity.

6. Your one-sentence offer

Pull it together into one clear line.
